Hello dear friends! Welcome to my website! I am a mother, wife, and author living in Atlanta, Georgia (via Birmingham, Philly, Tuscaloosa, and a few other places). While always an avid reader, I didn't begin writing until a couple of years ago, when I desperately needed a creative outlet to my day job. Long story short (ha) I fell in love and have been writing ever since. The stories below have been published in various literary journals, and I invite you to check them out! My first novel, Back to the Stars, is forthcoming with Lost Fox Publishing.
Published in Issue 23 of The Write Launch, What Would Olivia Do follows Monica, a quiet office assistant who lives vicariously through her favorite fairy tale show, Happily Ever After. Her simple life is disrupted however, when the show announces a fan event weekend and Monica has an unexpected encounter with Prince Charming.
The Pork Queen follows the heir apparent of a barbecue empire as he travels to San Francisco for work. On a whim, he decides to reconnect with an ex-girlfriend who lives in the area, a decision that will have far-reaching consequences for all involved.

A Storm in Milton, Georgia follows Emma, a college student and devout Southern Baptist. Emma's ordered life is ruptured however, when she discovers her mother's old diary and unearths an explosive secret. This story explores the nature of religious families in all their complexity - from the inherent harsh judgement to the limitless compassion.

Marriage in the Sun follows Jackie, a happily married (or so she thinks) woman as she and her husband embark on a tropical vacation,.
Practically Nothing follows a young, unnamed narrator as he tries to fight through the miasma of his early twenties.

I like General Hospital. I used to classify this as an embarrassing secret. I no longer consider it a secret and shout from the rooftops that actually soap operas are a very labor-intensive form of storytelling (40+ minute shows five days a week!) and the actors are quite talented. This story was inspired from all the time I have spent in the world of Port Charles.

Local Artist is Tired of Your Garbage was published by Peatsmoke Literary Journal (a journal run by two badass women!). It features a JK Rowling stand in, trash inspiration from a crossroads near our old house on the westside, a woman finding her true self, and it can be found here: https://www.peatsmokejournal.com/winter-2021//local-artist-is-tired-of-your-garbage
